The Role:
Step into the pivotal role of Director of Annual Giving, where you'll spearhead fundraising initiatives and administrative excellence. Your mission: drive significant financial support through annual giving while cultivating a thriving donor pipeline for Providence Foundations across the system. With a focus on leadership, you'll guide all facets of annual giving fundraising, overseeing our foundation staff and championing employee giving.
What You'll Do:
Strategic Fundraiser: Design and execute an impactful annual giving fundraising and donor engagement strategy that harmonizes Providence's mission, individual ministry priorities, and donor needs. Establish system-wide direct response programs that resonate with donors.
Data-Driven Strategist: Utilize data analytics to identify high-efficiency fundraising opportunities, ensuring informed decision-making and program optimization. Implement innovative patient acquisition and Honor Your Caregiver initiatives system wide.
Leadership Dynamo: Lead a dynamic team of annual giving leaders and team members, nurturing an environment that supports foundation goals and encourages collaboration and excellence.
Visionary Planner: Develop an annual Business Plan with measurable goals, strategic plans, and objectives to drive annual giving success. Partner closely with Foundation leadership to enhance donor acquisition and growth strategies year after year.
Communication Expert: Create and manage a comprehensive direct mail and email program that captivates and engages donors, driving sustained support.
Employee Engagement Leader: Define and execute year-round strategies for employee engagement, giving, and stewardship, fostering a culture of giving within the organization.
Leadership Giving Architect: Implement a strategic program to build leadership annual giving, focusing on gifts of $1,000-$24,999, bolstering donor relations.
Pipeline Developer: Collaborate with fundraising staff to enhance major/planned giving pipeline development, ensuring robust donor engagement across all levels.
Financial Steward: Develop and meticulously manage fundraising budgets, maintaining financial adherence and maximizing resources for growth.
What You'll Bring:
Educational Credentials: Bachelor's Degree in business, marketing, or communications; a Master's Degree is preferred. Certification as a Certified Fund-Raising Executive (CFRE) is highly desirable.
Proven Experience: Over 8 years of progressive experience in annual giving management or related nonprofit fundraising within large institutions, and 5 or more years of leadership experience.
Success Record: Demonstrated success in soliciting leadership annual gifts and leveraging data for program development and fundraising effectiveness.
Communication Skills: Exceptional presentation, written, and verbal communication skills, combined with stellar personnel, volunteer, and project management capabilities.
Strategic Insight: Demonstrated analytical and strategic thinking capabilities in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
Problem-Solving Acumen: Possesses exceptional problem-solving skills, gracefully addressing dynamic priorities with sound judgment.
Community Engagement: Active participation in fundraising and cultivation events, forging connections that advance donor relations.
