Providence is calling for a Medical Laboratory Scientist in Seward, Alaska. We are a community of caregivers delivering every day on our Mission to provide compassionate care that is accessible for all - especially those who are poor and vulnerable.

Hours: Full-time, 1.0 FTE, Variable Shift, 40 Hours Per Week

$7,500 Hiring Bonus for eligible external hires that meet required qualifications and conditions for payment.

Provides accurate, timely and cost effective laboratory testing of patient samples to aid in diagnosis and treatment of disease. Provide technical expertise to Providence Seward Medical Center Lab and other healthcare institutions.

Required Qualifications:

• Within 1 year of hire National Medical Laboratory Scientist - American Society for Clinical Pathology or

• Within 1 year of hire National Clinical Laboratory Scientist - American Society for Clinical Pathology or

• Within 1 year of hire National Medical Technologist - American Association of Bioanalysts or

• Within 1 year of hire National Medical Technologist - American Medical Technologists or

• Within 1 year of hire National Medical Technologist - American Society for Clinical Pathology

• 1 year Clinical lab experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree: BS in Medical Technology or equivalent educ/experience

• Rural Site Only: Meet CLIA personnel requirements for high complexity testing personnel
