The Role: Director Surgical Services RN

Step into a pivotal leadership position at Sacred Heart Medical Center, overseeing the administration and management of our Surgical and Procedural Services. Your mission will include fostering a culture of excellence, ensuring clinical quality, customer service, staff and physician satisfaction, financial health, and regulatory compliance.

  • Lead Staff Development: Empower staff to lead with our mission and strategic objectives in mind.

  • Drive Marketing and Business Development: Develop strategies to maintain and grow our market share.

  • Oversee Financial Planning: Lead budget development and meet financial targets.

  • Enhance Operational Efficiency: Achieve benchmarks in outcomes and efficiency.

  • Elevate Customer Service: Boost customer satisfaction and service excellence.

  • Engage with Medical Staff: Foster collaboration with medical staff for seamless operations.

  • Stay Informed on Market Trends: Respond effectively to industry trends and opportunities.

  • Build Partnerships: Collaborate with Providence-affiliated organizations to achieve shared goals.

  • Strengthen Intra-Organizational Relationships: Ensure effective communication across the organization.

  • Plan Resources Strategically: Manage resources for advanced care and services.

  • Manage Change Effectively: Lead change initiatives with staff participation.

  • Advance Strategic Planning: Align strategic direction with organizational goals.

  • Champion Quality Improvement and Safety: Drive regulatory compliance and quality goals.

  • Foster a Leadership Culture: Build a strong leadership environment through effective hiring and staff development.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Educational Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing is required, with a Master’s Degree preferred.

  • Professional Experience: At least 5 years of nursing experience and 2 years in a leadership role in surgical/procedural services.

  • Licensure: Washington Registered Nurse License upon hire.

  • Performance Excellence: Proven ability to achieve customer service excellence.

  • Change Management Expertise: Skills in managing and implementing change effectively.

  • Strategic Focus: Ability to balance daily operations with long-term goals.

  • Operational Expertise: Knowledge of surgical and interventional operations.

  • Market Understanding: Familiarity with the local and regional healthcare environment.

  • Communication Skills: Proficiency in verbal and written communication.
